Guest Blog Post for The Underground Crafter
I love crocheting all things cozy and had so much fun making this cozy cowl pattern.
This was my very first time using a Chunky Pot from Painbox yarns. I fell in love with all the colors in this pot and wanted to create a cozy cowl. I was also in need of a quick gift for my friend and wanted to design a fun pattern that works up quick with a pretty stitch. The diagonal spike stitch is easy and I am sure you will love it as much as I do!
If you are not familiar with the diagonal spike stitch, there is a step-by-step photo tutorial explaining the stitch included in the inexpensive, easy to print PDF pattern on Ravelry that you can find HERE.
The Autumn Spike Cowl is an advanced beginner pattern. If you can chain and dc, you can make the Autumn Spike Cowl!
If you need to brush up on, or learn any of the basic crochet stitches I have an easy picture tutorial you can follow on the Learn Basic Crochet Stitches Page.

This cozy crochet cowl pattern works up quick and looks beautiful! You can cut the yarn and use separate colors like I did, or just keep crocheting!
My testers did an awesome job crocheting their Autumn Spike Cowl’s – check them out below!
