ABBREVIATIONS:
- fsc – foundation single crochet
- ch – chain
- st – stitch
- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
MATERIALS:
- H/5mm hook
- Approx. 200 yard of ww (#4 yarn). I used Loops and Threads Impeccable – Soft Rose, White
- Darning needle
- Tape measure
- Scissors
NOTES:
- Read through the entire pattern before you begin.
- This pattern is written in US terms.
- This pattern is worked in the round using the griddle stitch.
- Ch 1 and 2 does not count as a stitch.
- I used two colors and dropped the yarn color when not in use.
- This cowl would make a great stash buster, using a different color for each row.
Dimensions: Approx. 16″ x 7″ Approx. 32″ around.
Gauge: 12 st and 11 rows = 4″ in the griddle stitch
**If you match your gauge with the one above, your cowl will be the same size.

NOTE: To Adjust the size of this pattern, be sure to start with any odd number of stitches.
R1: With pink, FSC 99. Sl st to first st. (99)
NOTE: Alternatively you can ch 99, ss to first st, ch 1 and sc around, sl st to first st. (99)
R2: With white, ch 1 *sc, dc* repeat from * to * around. Sc in the last st. Sl st to first st. (99)
R3: With pink ch 2, *dc, sc* repeat from * to * around. Dc in the last st. Sl st to first st. (99)
R4: With white, ch 1, *sc, dc* repeat from * to * around. Sc in the last st. Sl st to first st. (99)
R5-20: Repeat rounds 3 & 4 (or until desired width).
R21 (border): With pink, ch 1, sc around, sl st to first st. (99) Cut yarn and weave in ends.
