Lets Get Started!

If you would like to learn how to crochet each stitch used in this pattern, I have a step by step photo tutorial you can view HERE. Feel free to use any yarn and hook for this pumpkin pattern.

Small:

R1: Ch 13 (leaving approx. 13″ long tail to cinch up the bottom), sc in the 2nd ch from hook, dc, *sc, dc* repeat from * to * across Turn. (12)

R2: Ch 1, *sc, dc* repeat from * to * across. Turn. (12)

R3-29: Repeat row 2 (or until desired width). Next is assembly.

Large:

R1: Ch 25 (leaving approx. 13″ long tail to cinch up the bottom), sc in the 2nd ch from hook, dc, *sc, dc* repeat from * to * across Turn. (24)

R2: Ch 1, *sc, dc* repeat from * to * across. Turn. (24)

R3-29: Repeat row 2 (or until desired width). Next is assembly.

Assembly

Fold your work in half lengthwise, and sl st through both sets of stitches creating a circle (small: 12 st. Large 24 st). Cut yarn leaving approx. 13″ long tail to cinch up the top. Secure with a knot in the last stitch.

With a needle, thread the tail through each row end and pull tight. Tie off and weave in end.

Next, fill the pumpkin with stuffing. You could add as much or as little stuffing as you like.

With the long tail left from row 1 and a needle, thread the tail through each row end and pull tight.

Take a look at your pumpkin to see if you like the shape of it. You can add a bit more stuffing before closing if you need to. If you are happy with the shape, pull closed, tie off and weave in ends. With a dab of hot glue, add your stem.
