Sunglasses Case – A Free Crochet Pattern

glasses case in purse

I love working with bright colors! I had a small amount of these colors left over in my stash, just enough to turn it into something quick.

This crochet sunglasses case is worked in the round using the Griddle Stitch, an easy 2 row repeat.
If you aren’t familiar with the Griddle Stitch, I have a photo below with the detailed stitches.

When crocheting the Griddle Stitch you are alternating one sc and one dc stitch. When you crochet the next row you alternate a dc stitch on top of the sc of the previous row and a sc on top of the dc of the previous row. (see photo below)

When working in the round all you are doing is alternating a sc stitch and a dc stitch. The pattern is designed that when you start the next round you are maintaining the Griddle Stitch by alternating the same sequence, without turning.

I used some left over colors of yarn from my stash, which was just enough for this crochet sunglasses case.
