I loved using the wave stitch in the Coastal Waves Coaster and I decided to make a cowl and beanie set.

ABBREVIATIONS:
- fsc – foundation single crochet
- ch – chain
- st – stitch
- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- tr – treble crochet
MATERIALS:
- I-9/5.5mm hook
- 1 ball of Red Heart Roll With it Tweed in the color Violet. OR Approx. 144 yard of ww (#4) yarn.
- Darning needle
- Tape measure
- Scissors
NOTES:
- This is an advanced beginner pattern.
- Read through the entire pattern before you begin.
- This pattern is written in US terms.
- Ch 1 and 2 does not count as a stitch.
- This pattern is worked in the round.
- I separated the colors in the ball. I used the next color in the ball to change color every 2 rows.
- If you match the gauge in the pattern, you should have enough to make the Coastal Waves Cowl and Coastal Waves Beanie from the same ball.
- You can use any yarn and appropriately sized hook for this pattern. Just make sure you start with a multiple of 8 fsc.
Dimensions: Approx. 18″ x 6″ folded in half.
Gauge: 13 st and 7 rows = 4″ in the wave stitch.

NOTE: To Adjust the size of this pattern, be sure to start with a multiple of 8 fsc. This pattern is a 2 row repeat.
R1: With first color in ball, fsc 112. Sl st to first st. (112)
R2: With next color in ball, ch 1, *sc, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc* repeat from * to * around. Sl st to first st. (112)
R3: Ch 2, *tr, dc, hdc, sc, sc, hdc, dc, tr* repeat from * to * around. Sl st to first st. (112)
R4-11: Repeat round 2 & 3.
R12: With same color used for R1, ch 1, sc around. Sl st to first st. (112) Cut yarn and weave in ends.
