What makes this a favorite crochet pattern?

Each designer has a few favorite crochet patterns, for many reasons, maybe it speaks to them, or is their very first design or made in their favorite color. For me, my favorite design is my Ridgeline Sun Hat because it was my very first summer hat design and I love wearing it. I have designed many winter hats, as the Canadian winters can be quite cold, but this was something fun for me to design and looks great with any outfit.
