V-Stitch Pattern Inspiration:

The V-stitch used in this pattern is one of my go-to stitches, because it works up so quickly. I always like to add a personal touch to a gift and I think this is the perfect stitch for it! The V-Stitch Gift Bag is an easy beginner pattern and takes approximately 30 minutes to make and looks great in so many colors!

This gift bag is very easy to customize, so feel free to use a larger hook and yarn to make your bag bigger. Also, you could use a much smaller hook and yarn to create a nice tree ornament or earrings. There are so many possibilities with this V-stitch gift bag pattern!

Quick Crochet Ideas:

Some of my other quick patterns I have on the blog are shown below. Click on the photos to view the patterns.

Getting Started:

This gift bag starts off using the Magic Circle, but if you aren’t familiar with this technique, you can also chain 3 and place all your stitches in the first ch.

Behind every designer there is a testing team of amazing crocheters, and I could not have brought this pattern to life without the help of my fabulous testing team! I hope you find some color inspiration from their beautiful V-Stitch Gift Bags.

Lets Get Started!

A brief description of the
V-Stitch:

The V-Stitch consists of a cluster of stitches (dc, ch1, dc) that are made all in the same st or chain space.

When making your first round of V-stitches in this pattern (on round 5) you will skip 1 hdc from the previous round in between each V-stitch. When joining each V-stitch round, I like to sl st into the ch sp of the first v-stitch because it creates a seamless join.
